He graduated from the Faculty of Law at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków in 1972. He was an academic teacher at the Jagiellonian University, University in Rzeszów, and the School of Law and Public Administration in Przemyśl. Since 1988, h has been partner in one of the leading law firms specializing in business law T. Studnicki, K. Płeszka, Z. Ćwiąkalski, J. Górski, sp. k. He is deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the International Airport in Kraków. He was Member of the Supervisory Board of Bank Przemysłowo-Handlowy in Kraków, and from 16 November 2007 to 21 January 2009, he served as the Minister of Justice – Attorney General in PM Donald Tusk’s Cabinet. Currently, he is Member of the Supervisory Board of PZU.
